Optilab所生产的RA-R拉曼放大器是被用来恢复光纤传输中发生的光损耗功率，从而延长传输距离的光纤放大器。对RA-R被设计以扩增的光信号在**长距离DWDM网络，并且也可掺入的HFC/ CATV网络，以增加的模拟和数字通道的传输范围。与EDFA不同，拉曼放大器基于背面散射，其中所述的单模光纤，在链接本身作为增益介质的过程中发生的拉曼放大。

RA-R的拉曼放大器通常安装中流的信号的在或放置之前接收机以增加光功率电平信号。利用多个高功率泵浦激光器设计，RA-R提供了非常广阔的工作波长范围内，恒光增益，并有效地降低在链路噪声系数。
