The Mendocino series is a range of passively mode-locked ultrafast fiber lasers (FPL) that reliably generate pulses from sub 100 femtosecond to ten&＃39;s of picoseonds at megahertz repetition rates. Available as an OEM module or desktop version, the product family provides a wide choice of wavelength options from 780 to 1565 nm, with new offerings now available at850, 920, 960,1310nm and a special10 ps, 1030 or 1064nm source for seeding high power picosecond lasers used in glass cutting and consumer electronics manufacturing. In addition, a battery-powered,1550 nm, eye-safe modulehas been specifically developed for optical communications and high resolution LIDAR and 3D sensing applications.

Mendocino lasers are often used as a high quality femtosecond fiber seed source for higher energy laser systems. They are passively mode-locked utilizing a proprietary saturable absorber that has been developed and perfected over a twenty-year period to deliver excellent stability and reliability, with hands free operation.
